Story

Trey and Phyllis McLean are the owners and operators of the Medical Marijuana company Living Soil Farms. They have been married for 47 years and are located in Yazoo County on their 110 acre farm. Before there was cannabis, Trey and Phyllis dabbled in all sorts of farming. Trey is from a long line of farmers from Tunica, Mississippi, where his family farmed cotton, soybeans, and corn for many generations. Trey learned from a young age what it took to have a successful farming business, so in 2015 they permanently moved to their farm to explore every opportunity it could give. Phyllis and Trey kept bees, grew tomatoes, raised livestock, and gardened before seeing the buzz about the Medical Marijuana industry coming to Mississippi. They jumped at the opportunity to explore another aspect of what they could do at their farm. After building their facility from the ground up, Phyllis and Trey are now striving to create a premium craft product for the state of Mississippi.
